Some good friends of ours are hosting the weirdest party ever seen by city of Malmö since they took away the infamous Kockums Crane in 2002. Among the Djs – and yes – there are fifty of them – you’ll find the Googol Bordello of modern house – Round Table Knights alongside a bunch of local heroes such as Husarrest, Martin Grewin and Southside House Collective.

And you know what they say in Chicago – if there is a party – there is a pre-party. A closed pre-party for Festen 5e Januari will be held at Slagthuset, sponsored by Mumm Champagne and Absolut Vodka and grant you free access to the party itself. You know what that means. We are turning our computers off for one very much needed blog silence. The 2009 saw the dusk of the minimal sound that has been dominating the speakers all over the world during the last few years. The Funk is back, and we have Joris Voorn, Luciano, Nic Fanciulli and many other cool guys and girls to thank for that. Let’s hope that this trend will last. We also wanna give a shout out to Tiger Stripes for coming to play at our party at Culture Box. Thanks to the hard working people at Resident Advisor, Death Electro, Get The Curse, Stoney Roads, Pure People and Datasapiens for buckets of inspiration. Last, but not least, we want to give love to our readers. After all, 1000 hits a days is pure sweetness.

The Sour Grapes are three Swedish Gentlemen known, when picked appart, as Aleks Patz, Alex Caytas and Tom Liljegren. Most people following this blog are aware that the Grapes were signed to Chris Lakes labels Rising Music thanks to a bunch of tracks they droped in late spring/early summer. Some of their tracks a pure genius, some are a bit cheezy. But hey, that’s my subjective point of view.

What is imortant is the fact that the dudes are back with a new production calle We Are bundled up together with 4 other tracks on latest Rising Music Sampler.  The bass on We Are will drive you nuts and then straight through a concrete wall. Get jiggy with it.
