It takes a while to listen through and discuss 8 mix-sets. All of the mixes submitted to our Hacienda 30 competition were of top notch quality.

All in all one winner has to be selected and the 1st place goes to Karan Luthra. A local dj hero that managed to build up a solid funky groove after just two tracks and keeps the mix alive, evor-evolving and oh so groovy and phat throughout the whole 30 minutes. With a nice creme-de-la-creme finish delivered by Karan’s very own bootleg remix of Djuma Soundsystem – Les Djiins.

Cocoon Recordings is back in full force with the follow up to last year’s superb vinyl compilation ‘Dots & Pearls’. Providing a tracklisting that is nothing less than the modern interpretation of House, Techno and Tech-House ‘Dots & Pearls II’ eschews monotonous loops and predictable formulas and rather delivers a selection packed with energy and depth.

Luciano is releasing a Vagabundos compilation from his 19 weeks of party at Pacha, Ibiza.

His gypsie circus concept is a fun and playfull way to run a party, everybody can join and feel like they are a part of it.

The compilation is truly a great one! Luciano uses Traktor and does so extremely well. He plays around a lot, always playing at least two tracks at the same time and makes new ones on the go. It becomes very personal and creative with his own balearic touch.
