Spacedust – Gym And Tonic

Classic French house sound… with a bootleg twist!
A long time ago, Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) wrote “Gym Tonic,” using an uncleared sample from a Jane Fonda workout video. Bangalter gave Bob Sinclar a sample of his work, which was then released as “Gym Tonic (Thomas Bangalter Mix),” crediting the song to Bob Sinclar. Supposedly, Bangalter was upset by this and no longer speaks to Sinclar because of the sample issue. Jane Fonda sued and got some money… but that’s not the end of the story. A completely Continue…

Daft Punk – Da Funk 2011 (House Clap Remix)

Daft Punk – Da Funk 2011 (HouseClap Remix)

With Tron Legacy selling out full theaters the Daft Punk is once again hotter than ever. (The french spacemen suit wearing duo are responsible for the OST and also make a short appearence in the motion picture itself).

We continues to ignore the hype, trashing all the awful, unmastered bootlegs and remixes being beamed down in inbox. Neverless, the Swedish Duo House Clap (not to be mixed up with Boston legends Soul Clap) do make a wonderful remake of the the Daft Pank’s most classic track and it’s just great. Some … Continue…

Daft Punk acquised for producing on a Nintendo-Ds

8 years after the release, new rumours flourish about Daft Punk having produced the entire Discovery (2001) album using a built-in Nintendo sampler. Julia Milan, Thomas Bangalter personal house maid during 1999 – 2003, claims that most of the so called studio time during the Discovery production was spent playing around with this sampling software for Nintendo-Ds. She further explains that Thomas picked-up a Japanese version of DS pocket console when returning home from a yoga summit in Tokyo in late 2000, that he got incredibly hooked on the simplicity of the software and eventually decided to use it for … Continue…

Claes Rosen – Bootlegs

photo via: Popoholic

Claes Rosén has been one Sweden’s passionate bedroom producers since mid-nineties. But the things kicked in for real first in 2007-2008 with some major drops on Add2basket records and Silk Digital. Theses days Claes produces loads of dreamy progressive beach house but also some magnificent Dub-step under the alter ego L-wiz.

He’s latest EP – Genuine is out on Nellie recordings.
Here are a couple of bootlegs from 2006. Sweet stuff, especially the Shadows remix.

Daft Punk are wraping up the soundtrack for Tron 2

httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKT88pzgRwQ

Tron Legacy, the sequel to the cult-pronounced 1982 classic
will hit the theaters (or your harddrive) in late 2010.

According to the early Resident Advisor report
The Daft Punk are on the verge of completing the full 24 tune soundtrack that they’ve been requested to make. Since it’s over a year left until the première, the question is how the heck will they manage to keep the soundtrack off the internet for such a long time? :)

Stay tuned, fresh tunes tonight!
