HMWL Podcast 23 – Ramon Tapia (Strictly Rhythm, Great Stuff)

Half Chilenean, half Dutch – Ramon seems to be rather found then lost in his studio in Antwerp and in his role as Great Stuff’s and Strictly Rhythm’s most on deman artist of 2011.

Our 21st podcast is a two hour long, banging & grooving set by Dj Madskillz

Dj Madskillz has been one of the front figures of the Amsterdam techno/house scene since the late 90′s when he first got into Acid House and the magic sounds of the tb303.

Madskillz got his feet planted firmly in labels like 100% pure, Area Remote, Bitten & Great Stuff. Our Gregor Tresher competition is closed. Last week we were giving away two Gregor Tresher 12-inch singles. We’ve got a bunch of emails, but not as many as we expected. I wonder if this is a sign of vinyl dying out as a Dj-medium?

Anyway. The winner is a Swedish Dj Behrang Kianzad also known as Bacid. The second runner up is Adam Lundberg, also from Sweden. These lads will be getting The Life Wire part 1 and part 2 within a few days. Once again, thanks a bunch to Great Stuff Records.

Mr Head Honcho of European techno – Gregor Tresher passed through our beloved city of Malmö 2 weeks ago, leaving nothing but burn-marks on the walls of our favorite club and a promo copy of his fresh-out-of-the-studio album in our mailbox.
